BAHAR SHAHPAR
Fashion Designer + Creative Director, The Four Hundred

Brooklyn-based Bahar Shahpar is a self-taught designer with a diverse creative background in multimedia event production, fashion, and publishing. In 2005 she debuted her womenswear line, agricult, inspired by the American frontier and created using only sustainable materials. Three years ago, Bahar launched her eponymous label, focusing on a more modern, less structured form while still drawing from vintage tailoring and a turn-of-the-century aesthetic. She also is co-founder and Creative Director of The Four Hundred, a sales showroom and brand development agency focusing on high-end, fashion-forward sustainable design companies.

Bahar has also been a major part of Teens Turning Green since 2007. In addition to speaking on panels at Whole Foods Markets and schools in New York City, she worked with the teens last April to create "Turning Green," a fashion show held in New York City at the Broadstreet Ballroom.
